The Punxsutawney Area School District Board of School Directors seeks a superintendent of  schools who is a dynamic individual with integrity, leadership, superior communication skills, and proven central office administrative ability to lead a district of approximately 2,200 students with a $42 million budget, beginning June 2016, or as soon as available.

The desired candidate must possess experience in developing and maintaining comprehensive educational programs and services that advance the mission of the district. The superintendent oversees and administers the school district’s day-to-day business, educational programs, and personnel operations in accordance with general policies and strategic guidance adopted by the School Board in consultation with the Superintendent.

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Superintendent Letter of Eligibility or ability to meet PDE requirements for position required. Experience in multiple areas of education desirable, including a minimum of ten years experience in elementary, middle, and secondary instruction, or administration. Prior central office experience as superintendent, assistant superintendent, or supervisor of curriculum and instruction required. Doctorate preferred. Spring Cove School District

Superintendent

 

The Spring Cove School District Board of Directors seeks a dynamic individual with integrity, visionary leadership, superior communication skills, and outstanding administrative ability to lead a district of approximately 1900 students with $23 million budget, effective June 1, 2016. The desired candidate must possess experience in achieving high academic performance, creating academic equity, and sound school finance and business management; excellent communication and leadership skills, experience with curriculum development and implementation; knowledge of educational and innovative technology best practices; and success in community engagement and involvement.

 

Prior central office experiences as superintendent or assistant superintendent desired or graduate degree in business, finance, management, or law, with the superintendent letter of eligibility preferred. Doctorate also preferred, but not required.
