New System to Provide Guidance on Instructional Models

A new system that will provide guidance to school districts on which instructional models to utilize during COVID-19 was released by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and Department of Health.

Replacing the county colors of red, green, and yellow for school district use are the new categories of low incidence/transmission, moderate incidence/ transmission, or substantial incidence/transmission. Each county will depict COVID-19 data over a two week period, and school districts are strongly encouraged to examine this data on a weekly basis and look at the recommended models of instruction for each category. These are recommendations, not mandates.

Please take a moment to read about the new system for additional details.
